Instytut Nauk o Zarządzaniu i Jakości powstał w dniu 1 października 2019 roku w wyniku przekształcenia Wydziału Ekonomicznego UB. W ramach Instytutu funkcjonują dwie Katedry, tj. Katedra Logistyki i Marketingu oraz Katedra Organizacji i Zarządzania. W Instytucie został utworzony również Zespół Badawczy w zakresie Zarządzania Informacją. Zespół Instytutu tworzy piętnastu pracowników naukowych pracujących w dwóch katedrach i zespole badawczym. Funkcję Dyrektora Instytutu pełni dr hab. Sabina Kauf, prof. UB.
Profil naukowo-badawczy Instytutu determinują badania nad zarządzaniem organizacjami, logistyką i łańcuchami dostaw, zarządzania informacją.
